Author’s Note: I am writing this piece to explain the comparison between the two main characters in the stories in loyalty.
Are you loyal? Are your families or friends loyal? Do you know the true meaning of the word loyal? Is there a two sided point of view to you and your friends or family to their meaning of loyalty? If you don’t know what loyalty is then this paragraph might help you figure it out. Two younglings are both trying similar to each other and different too. In John Treegate’s musket an apprentice (Peter) is doing an errand of his master (Mr. Fielding) Peter sees a boy running down the street, and said “run”. Suddenly a Redcoat grabs Peter and knocks him to the ground and beats him with his musket. But trying prove loyalty to the government.
First, both of the main characters are loyal to their family and friends, because they love them and want to be on their side. That reason is involving point of view. They believe that there side is the good side. Peter is trying to be discreet what he is hiding, about him thinking that the massacre was his fault when it was not. Victor (the main character in “The Fighter”) was fighting to prove that he and his nationality or ethnicity was not weak.
Also they are fighting the antagonist, and again saying involving point of view, but also saying that peter’s point of view of the antagonist maybe himself because of the massacre. He is battling himself but still on the redcoat’s side even thought they are the antagonists in the story.
However, the two different characters are different from each other Victor is fighting the government and Peter is with the government. Victor is trying to trying to stick up what he and his side believes in. Peter is battling, hiding, proving, and being loyal to the redcoats and his friends, that maybe the different loyalty between them.
